Perusal Score

Schadenfreude is defined as, “deriving pleasure from another person’s misfortune.” We can all agree that this is not a trait or behavior to be proud of, but human nature is replete with these kinds of ultra-competitive, kill-or-be-killed instincts that probably helped keep our ancient ancestors alive before the dawn of civilization. This tone poem depicts the internal struggle that we, modern humans, experience as we struggle to evolve as individuals and as a society.
